He sent me a couple of pics of the greifing process, maybe this can help figure out the capabilities of the hacked client he is using. If I decide to make a new base somewhere else, will he be able to warp there and do the same thing again? Is there any real way to hide or protect my items or base (besides the small amount of stuff in an ender chest)? If hacked clients are capable of this, could he have done this literally at any time? Did my encounter with him at spawn simply pique his interest in me, or did it somehow give him some additional user information that allowed him to follow me back to my base? How is that even possible? It seems that he would have to have known my current location after respawning, but wouldn't that be server-side information? And how did he get to my base so quickly, it should have been easily an hour's walk in the Nether, even if he knew exactly where to go? But about 15 minutes after I re-spawned back at my base, this same player who had just killed me and one of his friends showed up at my base, killed me again, broke my bed, and destroyed my base with TNT. That I have no problem with, all is fair in love, war, and Minecraft PVP. The first time I was safe, the second time they had removed the obsidian platform I had been standing on, and I fell to my death when I couldn't throw an ender pearl fast enough. I figured any spawn prowlers would be pretty buffed up, so I logged out, waited a while, then logged back in.
TOP 5 HACK CLIENTS MINECRAFT FULL
Yesterday I was bored so I decided to make the long Nether walk back to spawn, while I was there I encountered two other players in full diamond armor who started to attack me.
I figured that unless someone ran across my Nether portal (just off a main Nether highway, but hidden), or just happen to stumble across my base by total accident, I was probably safe. I built my base well past 50,000 blocks from spawn, I even found some new 1.7 terrain that hadn't been previously generated, so I know it was "virgin" territory. I occasionally play on an anarchy server famous for its griefed bases and devastated terrain, so I didn't actually expect my base to remain intact forever, but yesterday something happened that I wouldn't have expected was possible, even from cheaters using hacked clients. CLARIFICATION: I am not interested in using a hacked client, I just need to know if there is a way to protect myself from them on a server where they are allowed.
